stress

My stress brain tells me I have to do it all now. (I don’t.)

My stress brain tells me it’s impossible. (It isn’t.)

My stress brain tells me I can’t. (I can.)

My stress brain reminds me of past failures. (I’m looking forward.)

My stress brain says, “You probably shouldn’t.” (I will.)

My stress brain tells me I don’t have enough time. (I have plenty.)

My stress brain tells me I’m not enough. (I say, “I most certainly am!”)

My stress brain tells me it’s hope-less. (I am hope-full.)

  1. I never knew its name but stress brain sure seems to fit mine too. Today, my stress brain is a little worn and that’s okay. I need the break πŸ˜‰

  2. I had so much stress brain during the pandemic, as my mom was dying and after her passing. It took awhile but it slowly ebbed away. More rest, fewer screens, more outdoors were huge helps. But the ol’ aging brain isn’t what it used to be. And that I am learning to accept. No more multi-tasking for me!

    1. Multi-tasking is less efficient – I agree. Takes the intention, focus, and joy out of everything! I’m glad your stress brain has eased – and I’m all for the healing power of the outdoors as well!
